Thank You

We would like to thank you all for attending the 2nd annual NJT Yoga Conference. We hope that you all had a spectacular time. From the feed back that we have received it appears you all did. It is so great that we have such an amazing group of talented teachers within our area. Each teacher with their unique styles and techniques created workshops filled with a wealth of knowledge to help each student get a better understanding of the practice of yoga. You are all amazing. We are so blessed to have you all in our lives.

We would also like to thank the vendors. We hope you all had a great time and made some wonderful connections. What you brought to the conference was not only  your business but  parts of yourselves that created a wonderful atmosphere in between the workshops.

Lastly our volunteers. Thank you, thank you, thank you, we truly could not have done it with out you. You all stepped up to the plate and gave us so much. You were all amazing.

Delia and I began NJT yoga conference with the idea of creating a community of yogis. We are all so busy with our own lives that it is difficult for us to connect. We teach, we take class, we have our own practices and beyond that our worlds seem to pass each other. The weekend was created so we can slow down and delve into a united communion. I believe we were able to achieve that for many of you. If any of you out there have any comments on the weekend, any ideas perhaps for next year and how we can make the conference even better, please let us know.

Peace to all of you,

Namaste, Denise & Delia

Mercury is in Retrograde

Yes Mercury is in retrograde and that has not helped with our registration process for the conference but we do believe we have solved the crisis. Those of you having difficulty with sending in the registration forms for the conference can try again. What you need to do is redownload the form as we have made the necessary corrections so it should be able to go through. Do not use the the title NJTYC, but use NJTYogaConference. For some reason NJTYC is being recognized as spam and will not go through. The revised registration form has changed that. Modern technology and Mercury in retrograde are not a good mix. Can’t wait for the planets to re align. If you are still having problems please contact us. See you all this weekend.

Peace, Denise

Relationships and Yoga

Since January 1st I have had the pleasure of reading in each of my classes the daily  entries from “The Book of Awakening”. It’s a beautifully written book by Mark Nepo. Each day there is a quote or insight that either he or someone else has written and then he writes his views on that quote. Many of the passages pertain to relationship. Relationship to ourselves, to each other and the world around us because in reality it is how we relate to all of our surroundings that has brought us to who we believe we are. Many of us have come to yoga with a desire to find our True Self. We may not have all started that way. Many of us may have started with an asana practice alone because of injury or just shear curiosity but as we begin to unravel ourselves physically through engaging, twisting and stretching we begin to inquire more deeply about all aspects of this ancient science. We begin to learn about the 8 limbs and other various scriptures thus bringing us a profoundly deep awakening to our relationship with ourselves and the world around us.

The North Jersey Transformational Yoga Conference is a place where we can explore these relationships. With it’s 18 classes in various techniques and styles of yoga with a community of people having the common desire to discover the best parts of who we are. In learning about pranayama we can unveil the relationship between our breath and our mind. In Meridean Yoga we can unlock the mystery of our physical self and our energetic self. In inversion Mania we can explore our fears and our strengths. In Partner Yoga we can learn the ways we relate to each other on a personal, physical and spiritual level using principles such as union, trust, compassion, surrender, creativity and community.

The NJTYoga Conference is a wonderful way to learn the best part of who we are as we relate to each other and ourselves. There is still time to sign up for the early bird special which ends April 1st. You can choose 2 days, 1 day, 1/2 day or per workshop. Check us out on line at  www.njtyogaconference.com.

Shanti, Denise

Hey all,

Delia and I are so excited to announce the second annual North Jersey Transformational Yoga Conference. We again are so happy to have the opportunity to bring this venue to you and share our love for the beauty of yoga in it’s many traditions and forms. We had such a wonderful response from those who attended last year we hope to create the same once again. We read each and every survey, made some small changes and perhaps this years event will be even better. Our Journey into creating an event to enlighten our community here in the northern portion of New Jersey last year was quite an experience. We are happy to bring it to you again.

We will be at the same beautiful setting, the Mountain Villa School in Allamuchy N.J. next to the historic Rutherford Mansion with it’s gorgeous grounds and scenic lake. We have some great new classes “Inversion Mania” and some great old ones such as the tradition of Kundalini yoga. We are in the process of getting the website up and running with more information so you can all begin this journey with us.  So save the dates April 30th & May 1st, we look forward to hearing from you.

To journey without being changed

is to be a nomad.

To change without journeying

is to be a chameleon.

To journey and to be transformed by the journey

is to be a pilgrim.        -MARK NEPO

Come and join the transformation. Peace always, Denise
